Job summary

Miles & Stockbridge seeks a Senior Paralegal Specialist to join the Real Estate & Transactional Finance Practice Group in Baltimore, MD. You will support Principals and Associates, interact with clients, and assist with document preparation, review, and loan closings.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience in sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, a bachelor’s degree (paralegal certificate a plus), and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

Minimum three years of experience supporting sophisticated commercial real estate transactions.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; paralegal certificate is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong understanding of legal language and research methods.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

Meet with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned transactions or projects.
Assist lawyers with commercial real estate transactions, including document preparation, review and revision.
Experience drafting loan documents, reviewing titles and surveys, and managing loan closings.
Review closing documents for accuracy.
Assist with post-closing matters, including delivery of closing documents and collection of post-closing items.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
