Job summary

Peak Partners, a boutique Real Estate law firm, seeks an experienced Senior Real Estate Paralegal in Maryland. The successful candidate will have seven or more years of transactional paralegal experience, drafting and reviewing loan documents, leases, and related transactions, and will manage workflow from intake through closing and post-closing.

Clarksville commuting expected; strong MS 365 and document-management skills required.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of substantive transactional paralegal experience in a law firm or busy in-house department.
• Hands-on commercial real estate experience and ability to draft loan documents, leases, real estate contracts, entity documents, and corporate records.
• Strong knowledge of transaction workflows, due diligence, closings, recording, and post-closing requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail, proofreading, organization, discretion, and ability to independently manage competing priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial real estate and finance matters from intake through closing and post-closing; maintain checklists, deadlines, deliverables, and organized files.
• Draft, revise, review, and proofread purchase agreements, leases, amendments, assignments, estoppels, deeds, affidavits, escrow agreements, and closing or recording documents.
• Coordinate title, survey, zoning, lien, entity, insurance, and property due diligence; identify missing items and issues requiring attorney attention.
• Draft commercial loan documents, including notes, deeds of trust, mortgages, guarantees, assignments, indemnities, security agreements, resolutions, and closing certificates.
• Support lender and borrower-side transactions; coordinate signatures, funding, recording, delivery, post-closing requirements, and electronic closing binders.
• Prepare formation, governance, authority, registration, amendment, and good-standing documents for business entities.
• Communicate proactively with attorneys, clients, lenders, title companies, brokers, surveyors, government offices, and opposing counsel.
• Improve templates, checklists, workflows, and quality controls; mentor junior or administrative staff when appropriate.
