Job summary

Noor Staffing Group is seeking a Project Accountant/Development Accountant in Houston to support accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of commercial development projects. You will work closely with development, finance, and accounting teams to ensure accurate project-level financials throughout the development lifecycle, in an in-office, full-time role.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
4+ years of accounting experience; CRE or development accounting preferred.
Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
Understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
Experience with Yardi, MRI, or other real estate accounting software is a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage accounting for commercial development projects from acquisition through completion.
Prepare project financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly reporting.
Track development costs, budgets, commitments, and project cash flow.
Review invoices, contracts, and construction-related expenses for accuracy and proper coding.
Assist with project budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Work closely with development managers, lenders, vendors, and internal finance teams.
Support audits, lender reporting, and other project-related financial requests.
