Lennar is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel – Real Estate in Irving, Texas, to provide practical legal guidance on land acquisition, development, and related real estate matters. You will draft and negotiate critical transaction documents and work closely with internal teams to ensure timely, business-focused outcomes.

Qualificações

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 5–10 years of legal experience with substantial real estate transactions, land acquisition, development, or related practice.
• Experience drafting and negotiating real estate purchase/sale agreements and related documents.
• Working knowledge of title/survey review, due diligence, zoning/entitlement, closing requirements, easements, and development agreements.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, drafting, and problem-solving skills with ability to assess risks and propose practical solutions.
• Ability to provide clear, commercially minded legal advice to senior leadership and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple transactions and deadlines.
• Experience working with outside counsel and internal stakeholders to drive resolution.
• Prior in-house experience with a homebuilder, developer, or real estate owner/operator is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide practical, timely legal advice on land acquisition, land banking, land development, title, entitlement, construction, and related real estate matters.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage purchase/sale agreements, amendments, easements, and related documents through closing and post-closing follow-up.
• Support all phases of the real estate transaction lifecycle from LOIs to post-closing obligations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify issues early and facilitate efficient transaction execution.
• Review title commitments, surveys, plats, covenants, and related diligence materials; advise on risks and next steps.
• Coordinate with outside counsel to manage scope, work product, and costs.
• Prepare internal approval packages, closing checklists, and dispute strategies.
• Identify opportunities to improve legal forms, templates, and processes for consistency and efficiency.
• Build strong relationships with business partners and provide practical legal solutions.
