Job summary

Asset Talent Partners is conducting a confidential search for a seasoned Controller for a Dallas-based real estate investment firm. The role covers fund and property accounting, month-end close, investor reporting and financial controls.

You will lead a growing accounting team and partner with the CFO and senior leadership. Ideal candidates bring 12–15+ years in real estate fund and property accounting, CPA, and strong Yardi experience.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and team development capabilities.
• Exceptional communication with leadership, investors and advisors.
• Strong technical depth in partnership and investment accounting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fund accounting across multiple real estate funds, JVs, REITs and operating companies.
• Own month-end close and consolidations for multi-tier structures.
• Record capital activity and manage investor reporting (ILPA format).
• Oversee property-level accounting and AP; coordinate with asset and property managers.
• Lead audits, coordinate with tax advisors, and drive GAAP improvements.
