Job summary

BBSI in Grand Junction, CO is seeking an experienced, hands-on Controller to lead the accounting and financial operations of a diversified real estate organization. The ideal candidate will tidy and strengthen the books, build scalable processes, and establish a robust reporting infrastructure to support growth.

You will partner with senior leadership, oversee multi-entity accounting, manage a growing team, and drive monthly and annual close, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and KPI reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.
• Controller or senior accounting leadership experience.
• Experience managing and developing an accounting team.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions.
• Real estate, construction, property management, development experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting and financial operations for a diversified real estate organization.
• Build and lead the accounting team; develop processes and controls.
• Develop monthly financial reporting package for leadership and present KPIs and trends.
• Coordinate with external CPAs, auditors, lenders, and other financial partners.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close, GL, reconciliations, AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, intercompany & cash management.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning across multiple entities and projects.
