Century Group in Los Angeles County, CA is partnering with a client to recruit a Controller to lead accounting operations for a portfolio of real estate assets. The role requires strong financial leadership and hands-on management of close processes.

You will oversee AP/AR, budgeting, audits, and external reporting, while mentoring staff to improve processes, controls, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with increasing responsibility.
• Prior leadership experience managing and developing accounting professionals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and month end, quarter end, and year end close activities for a portfolio of real estate assets.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, general ledger accounting, and other core financial functions.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning efforts to support business performance and decision making.
• Coordinate audits, tax reporting support, lender reporting, ownership reporting, and other external financial requirements.
• Develop and mentor accounting staff while improving processes, strengthening internal controls, and enhancing operational efficiency.
