Neko Health is a Swedish health-tech company co-founded in 2018 by Hjalmar Nilsonne and Daniel Ek. Neko has developed a new medical scanning technology concept to make it possible to do broad and non-invasive health data collection that is both convenient and affordable for the public. Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Real Estate Attorney to join our legal team in New York. This role is pivotal in supporting Neko’s international expansion, focusing on real estate transactions across the US and global markets and supporting US operations. The innovative use of design and space is an essential part of the Neko experience, and you will play an integral role in helping the team to advance our mission to revolutionize healthcare through technology.

Responsibilities
  1. Legal Advisory: Provide strategic legal advice on real estate matters, including leasing, dispositions, acquisitions, and related corporate issues both in the US and internationally.
  2. Real Estate Transactions: Lead structuring, negotiation, and execution of complex leases and agreements for healthcare facilities and offices, supporting global expansion and development projects.
  3. Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate legal considerations into real estate planning and expansion strategies, managing external counsel effectively.
  4. Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate real estate and construction contracts, ensuring legal compliance.
  5. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with real estate transactions and holdings.
  6. Compliance and Corporate Governance: Develop policies to ensure adherence to US and international real estate laws and standards, supporting company growth in new markets.
Minimum Requirements
  1. Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a reputable US law school; admission to the New York State Bar.
  2. Experience: 8+ years in legal practice, with a focus on retail leasing, acquisitions, and international real estate, ideally with experience at a top-tier US law firm and in-house at a major company.
  3. Skills: Strong negotiation and drafting skills, excellent communication in English, ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  4. Attributes: Commercially minded, collaborative, proactive, strategic, and interested in supporting US expansion and related legal areas.
Compensation

The annual base salary ranges from $200,000 to $250,000, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a dynamic environment with autonomy and growth opportunities in a rapidly expanding legal team.
