Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years accounting experience in real estate or public accounting.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Strong financial statement analysis and variance review skills.
• Ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines independently.
• Clear written and verbal communicator with internal teams and outside partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly review of property-level financial statements, correcting variances and cash discrepancies.
• Build and review monthly owner cash reports, cash flow forecasts, and distribution calculations; record related journal entries.
• Monitor distributions, excess cash, and reserve balances for compliance with agreements and regulations.
• Evaluate construction draw requests, sources and uses statements, and development budgets; reconcile for lenders/investors.
• Oversee financials during property management changes to keep records accurate.
• Coordinate year-end audit deliverables and review draft audited financials.
• Analyze annual operating budgets and respond to investor/lender questions, including fee calculations.
• Develop portfolio-wide analyses to support internal reporting and inform senior leadership.
