Job summary

Granite Properties is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support general accounting for commercial real estate assets in Plano, TX. You will review ledgers, prepare monthly financial statements, and manage depreciation in the JDE system, while ensuring GAAP rent calculations and accurate asset placement.

Responsibilities include monthly JV reporting, funding requests, EP billings and reforecasting, plus collaboration with management offices and auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; CPA, highly preferred (18 hours of accounting coursework)
• 3–5+ years commercial real estate accounting experience, or public accounting audit or other commensurate experience
• Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills required
• Proficiency in Excel – Intermediate Level
• JDE experience preferred
• Prior GAAP experience preferred

Responsibilities

• General accounting duties including general ledger review and financial statement prep
• Maintain GAAP rent calculations and monthly analytic review
• Record assets in JDE fixed asset module and calculate depreciation
• Prepare monthly reporting packages for joint venture partners
• Process billing, pre-bills and EP/true-ups for properties
• Assist auditors and prepare audit PBCs and financial statements
• Prepare supporting documents for annual tax packages
• Record daily cash and reconcile cash daily
• Set up jobs and process pay apps for TI/Capital in JDE
• Lease reviews for properties and EP setup
