Job summary

Nuveen is seeking a Senior Research Analyst to cover midstream energy and utility publicly traded securities within the Listed Real Assets group. The role emphasizes independent research, earnings and cash-flow analysis, and relative valuation work to support portfolio decisions.

You will build models, prepare research reports, and present insights to portfolio managers. The position requires 5+ years of sector experience, a strong command of Excel and Bloomberg, and a degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• 5+ years with pipeline/energy/utility research and financial statement analysis with experience in a relative valuation framework
• Bachelor's degree required. MBA, CFA designation, or advanced degree a plus.
• Strong Excel and Bloomberg skills with solid quantitative and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Produces and reviews research-driven written and oral reports on real asset markets.
• Develops high conviction points of view on earnings and cash flows.
• Conveys complex energy market recommendations to portfolio managers through reports.
• Attends conferences, meets with management, and analyzes energy supply/demand trends.
• Evaluates research models for relevance and collaborates on process improvements.
• Stays current on public/private energy markets, upstream/downstream.
• Assesses portfolio risks and selects real assets as inflation hedges.
• Supports relative valuation framework and security selections.
