Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a subject matter expert in reactor physics to advance neutron transport, lattice physics, and cross section generation. You will lead code development, validation, and licensing workflows within the RPT team for BWRs and SMRs, collaborating with regulators and customers.

The role emphasizes high-quality software within NRC-compliant frameworks, documentation, and training, with global and industry-facing impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with relevant nuclear engineering or computational methods background.
• Minimum 3–5 years of nuclear methods development experience or equivalent for advanced degrees.
• Strong programming and software development practices in Fortran and Python.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, validation, and maintenance of analytical methods for core/fuel performance.
• Prepare and present technical data to customers and regulators.
• Interface with NRC/DOE and other agencies as needed.
