Job summary

Ameren is seeking an Operating Supervisor at the Callaway Energy Center in mid-Missouri to lead the operations of the nuclear power generating unit, ensuring safe, legal and efficient performance. You will direct a team of about 10 employees, oversee Reactor Operators in the control room, and supervise field technicians.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and qualify under multiple pathways, including licensed reactor operator credentials or a bachelor's with nuclear

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Currently a Licensed Reactor Operator or Senior Reactor Operator with 1+ year in the position.
• Previously a Licensed Reactor Operator or Senior Reactor Operator at a commercial reactor with at least 1.5 years of experience.
• Qualified Reactor Operator (RO), Engineering Watch Supervisor (EWS), Propulsion Plant Watch Supervisor (PPWS), or EOOW on a military reactor for 2+ years.
• Bachelor's degree with 1.5+ years of nuclear power plant experience.
• Previously Certified Senior Reactor Operator at another site or at Callaway with 2+ years in the position.

Responsibilities

• Direct Reactor Operators in the control room.
• Supervise Operations Technicians in the field.
• Administer the Workman's Protection Assurance Program.
• Train and develop crew members.
• Interface with nuclear and other personnel to support plant equipment.
• Promote commitment to excellence, teamwork, integrity and accountability.
• Support performance improvement initiatives and training.
• Participate in emergency response planning and drills.
• Potential rotation to work control or training instructor roles.
