Job summary

Vistra Nuclear Operations Company in Oak Harbor, Ohio is seeking a Sr. Reactor Operator in training at the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station.

The program leads to an NRC Senior Reactor Operator license and oversees reactor operations, with a rotating 12-hour shift schedule covering days, nights and weekends. During training, you will complete systems, simulator, and in-field phases, then assume direct oversight of operators and field staff to ensure safe and reliable plant operations while

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology or physical sciences (or professional engineer license) is acceptable with relevant supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Authorize maintenance and testing activities to ensure equipment status is maintained.
• Implement Emergency Operating procedures and stabilize the plant during emergencies or abnormal conditions.
• Evaluate and respond to issues, findings, open items, and requests from inside and outside the organization.
• Oversee special projects as directed by Operations leadership.
• Review design and license changes for procedure impact and support outages and outages projects.
• Direct operating shift personnel on rotating 12-hour shifts and coordinate reactor plant operations.

Education
