Job summary

RELX International’s Elsevier Web team seeks a skilled full stack developer to collaborate with Product, UX designers, and engineers to build client-side applications.

You will design, develop, and maintain React front ends and Node back ends, ensuring seamless integration across components and delivering responsive, scalable, and secure web applications. Expect leadership across SDLC with CI, code reviews, and automated testing.

Qualifications

• Frontend and backend skills in React and Node.js.
• Experience with moderate to large web monoliths.
• Has taken an application through the full project life cycle.
• Experience with Agile delivery processes.
• Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex applications using React (front end) and Node.js (back end).
• Ensure seamless integration between client-side and server-side components to deliver responsive, scalable, and secure web applications.
• Develop user interfaces for a large web monolith and small to moderate micro-frontends and services, maintaining high standards for accessibility, performance, and usability.
• Implementing and optimizing UI components that align with enterprise design systems and technical standards.
• Lead applications through the entire software development life cycle (SDLC) - from requirements gathering and system design to deployment and maintenance.
• Ensure high-quality releases through continuous integration, code reviews, and automated testing.
