Job summary

Forage is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to build comprehensive user solutions and frontend infrastructure for the EBT Shopper app. You will bring 3+ years of mobile experience, particularly in React Native, and lead large-scale projects from design to delivery.

You will balance business priorities with user experience, mentor teammates, and help shape the frontend technical vision. This role is hybrid in New York or San Francisco, with occasional remote work within North America.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mobile engineering experience building end-to-end user solutions.
• Experience in React Native, especially having built an app from scratch.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical initiatives within your team, mentoring engineers through design and delivery, contributing meaningfully to roadmap discussions, and independently driving complex projects from design through execution

Responsibilities

• Lead large multi-engineer projects for the Forage EBT Shopper app.
• Balance business priorities, user experience, and technical sustainability in trade offs when balancing new feature requests and necessary engineering improvements
• Influence frontend development at Forage by sharing technical vision and providing guidance
• Make teammates at Forage more effective through better frontend infrastructure and tooling
• Mentor teammates and others around frontend best practices
