Job summary

Propelus is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead hands-on development of our React Native companion app, design its architecture, and ship to the App Store and Google Play. You’ll collaborate with web, API, and design teams to unite mobile and platform features on a unified TypeScript stack.

You’ll own end-to-end features, advocate accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), improve testing and CI/CD, mentor teammates, and help set technical direction for a distributed team working in a regulated

Qualifications

• 8+ years of real, full stack production experience with React, Node.js, TypeScript, and modern cloud-native development.
• Experience with native mobile (iOS/Android) alongside React Native and app store release processes.
• Strong system-design instincts focused on reliability and scalability.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and mentoring engineers in distributed teams.
• Experience delivering accessible web applications (WCAG 2.1 AA).

Responsibilities

• Own the React Native companion app from architecture to app-store release and iteration.
• Collaborate with web and API teams to build features for web and mobile.
• Ship full-stack features across accessible UIs, type-safe APIs, and GraphQL across data stores.
• Evaluate architectural trade-offs and communicate decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Maintain accountability for what you ship, including instrumentation and incident analysis.
• Mentor colleagues, conduct code reviews, and share knowledge to improve the team.
• Improve testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and tooling to reduce friction.
• Collaborate cross-functionally across product lines and adapt for success.
