Job summary

Marsh is seeking a seasoned React Risk Consultant in Chicago for a hybrid role requiring at least three in-office days weekly. You will design, build, and support full‑stack web applications to enable data‑driven insights for clients and internal teams.

Collaboration with stakeholders will translate business needs into technical solutions, emphasizing modern engineering practices. You will work with MERN stack, SQL, AWS, and Git, delivering secure, scalable software while contributing to CI/CD

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional full-stack web development experience with a MERN stack focus.
• Strong proficiency with SQL databases, including complex query writing and database design.
• Hands-on experience with Git version control and collaborative workflows.
• Practical knowledge of AWS cloud services and deployment best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and debug software using MERN stack and SQL.
• Collaborate with Lead developers to meet project goals and communicate plans.
• Provide technical support to clients and internal teams; monitor trends and suggest improvements.
• Manage source code with Git and promote best practices across the team.
• Deploy and maintain apps on AWS; ensure security, docs, testing, and performance.
• Gather and validate business requirements with clients and translate them into specs.
