Job summary

HireTalent - Staffing & Recruiting Firm seeks a Senior Full Stack Developer in Chicago to design, build, and maintain analytics and technology solutions using the MERN stack. You will work across cloud services (AWS), relational databases, and modern front- and back-end technologies to meet client needs.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior developers, and help drive best practices in code quality and deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6-10 years of professional full-stack development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with MongoDB.
• Express.js and React.js.
• Node.js expertise.
• Strong SQL database skills, including design and complex query development.
• Experience with AWS cloud platforms and deployment best practices.
• Experience using Git version control systems and collaborative workflows.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Deep understanding of SDLC best practices, including testing, debugging, and application support.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain full-stack applications using the MERN stack.
• Build and optimize SQL databases, including complex queries and design.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to develop project plans and deliver solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues to ensure performance and reliability.
• Provide technical support to internal teams and clients, including escalated issues.
• Analyze support trends and recommend system enhancements and process improvements.
• Serve as a technical resource and mentor for developers and analysts.
• Manage source code using Git, including branching, merging, and pull requests.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications in AWS environments.
• Utilize cloud services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.
• Follow software development best practices related to testing, documentation, security, and code quality.
• Support data migration and integration initiatives.
• Stay current on emerging technologies and development trends to drive innovation.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure solutions meet business objectives.
