Evlo AI in New York City is seeking a hands-on frontend engineer focused on building fast, accessible user interfaces in React and TypeScript. You will own features end-to-end, collaborating with product, design, and backend teams to turn requirements into production UI.

You'll optimize performance, contribute to an internal component library, and ensure WCAG 2.1 AA compliance while shipping polished interfaces for a large user base. The role is hybrid with three days on-site in NYC.

Formación

• 3–7 years of professional frontend engineering experience, with at least 2 years building production React applications.
• Deep proficiency in TypeScript, modern JavaScript, and the React ecosystem (hooks, context, performance patterns)
• Strong CSS fundamentals and hands-on experience with Tailwind, CSS-in-JS, CSS Modules
• Experience integrating with REST and GraphQL APIs and managing client-side state at scale (Redux, Zustand, React Query, or similar)
• Solid grasp of web performance, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility
• Comfort working in a hybrid cadence from New York, NY, with 3 days per week on-site
• Bonus: experience with Next.js or server-side rendering, design systems tooling (Storybook, Figma handoff), Node.js backend exposure, or contributions to open-source frontend libraries

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain complex, reusable UI components in React and TypeScript, contributing to and evolving an internal component library
• Own feature development end-to-end: wireframes to production, including state management, API integration, and error handling
• Optimize application performance - bundle size, code splitting, render times, Core Web Vitals - for a large-scale single-page application
• Implement responsive, accessible interfaces (WCAG 2.1 AA) using modern CSS tooling such as Tailwind, CSS Modules, or styled-components
• Collaborate with backend engineers on API contract design using REST and GraphQL, and build resilient data‑fetching layers with tools like React Query or Apollo
• Write unit and integration tests with Jest, React Testing Library, or Playwright, and maintain high coverage on critical user flows
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and frontend guild initiatives; mentor junior engineers on the team
