Job summary

Modern Family Law seeks a Senior Frontend React Engineer to own the frontend architecture of a new AI-enabled family law product. You will build in React and TypeScript, design scalable patterns, and collaborate with product and backend teams to deliver secure, role-aware experiences for clients and attorneys.

You will shape multi-step workflows, integrate with enterprise APIs, and drive performance, accessibility, and testing across the frontend.

Qualifications

• Production experience building React and TypeScript applications with complex user workflows.
• Experience establishing frontend architecture for products with meaningful application state and significant integration with backend services.
• Strong knowledge of component architecture, state management, forms, routing, and maintainable frontend patterns.
• Experience building multi-step or workflow-based applications with validation, conditional logic, persistence, recovery, and clear error states.
• Understanding of frontend authentication flows and role-aware interfaces, including backend enforcement.
• Experience partnering with backend engineers to define API contracts and data structures.
• Strong accessibility, responsive design, browser compatibility, and frontend performance practices.
• Experience implementing automated frontend testing for critical components and user workflows.
• Ability to review code, establish frontend standards, and provide technical guidance to other frontend developers.
• Ability to work independently as the Senior Frontend React Engineer on a greenfield product and make sound architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own the frontend architecture and implementation of the product in React and TypeScript, from shared components and application structure through production workflows.
• Translate product designs into production-ready user experiences, aligning design, workflow, and data requirements with product and backend engineers.
• Own frontend patterns for complex multi-step workflows, including forms, validation, autosave, and error handling.
• Partner with the Senior Backend API Engineer to define API contracts, data structures, and client/server responsibilities.
• Establish component architecture, state-management patterns, routing, and frontend conventions for a maintainable app.
• Build secure, role-aware experiences with proper validation and clear user feedback.
• Integrate AI-enabled workflows and present generated content, sources, and confirmations clearly.
• Own frontend performance, accessibility, and production quality across development.
• Establish testing practices for components and workflows, including regression coverage.
• Review code and provide technical guidance to the frontend team.
