Cognizant is hiring a senior frontend engineer in Seattle, WA. You will drive architecture decisions, oversee React.js development, and collaborate with product managers, UX, and backend teams to deliver secure, scalable, multi-channel applications.

You will mentor engineers, ensure code quality, and promote accessibility and performance optimizations while aligning with hybrid work practices. This role offers a strong compensation package and opportunities to influence product roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 8 - 12 years of experience in software development for complex front end projects in large scale enterprises.
• Expert level proficiency in React Js with hooks, state handling and routing.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and ecosystem tools (bundlers, testing frameworks, package managers).
• Experience with multi-channel/omnichannel design for coherent customer experiences.
• Familiarity with hybrid work practices and collaboration tools.

Responsabilités

• Drive front end architecture decisions for maintainable, secure, scalable React solutions.
• Translate business requirements into detailed technical specs with product managers and UX specialists.
• Provide hands-on guidance in coding, review, and refactoring of React modules to reduce defects.
• Coordinate with backend teams to define APIs and optimize data flow for multi-channel apps.
• Promote CI/CD, automated tests, and structured release management in hybrid work settings.
• Guide adoption of reusable component libraries and accessibility standards.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity stakeholders to embed secure coding practices in React implementations.
