GovCIO is seeking a senior React Software Engineer to rebuild customer-facing applications from the ground up. You will define architecture, standards, and development practices for a scalable front-end platform aligned with DevSecOps.

The role is fully remote within the United States and requires collaboration with architects, backend, DevOps, security, and product teams to deliver modern web experiences. You will lead migration from legacy Spring Boot/Thymeleaf to a decoupled front-end, build

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years building production applications with React.
• Deep expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of modern front-end architecture and design patterns.
• Experience with state management solutions (Redux, Zustand, or React Query).
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL.
• Strong accessibility, responsiveness, and cross-browser knowledge.
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud-native deployments and DevSecOps.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of modern customer-facing web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Define the future front-end architecture, including component libraries and routing patterns.
• Modernize legacy applications by migrating to a decoupled front-end.
• Collaborate with backend teams to build REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Establish engineering standards for quality, testing, performance, and security.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for front-end apps in a DevSecOps environment.
• Integrate automated testing, static analysis, and security validation into the lifecycle.
• Champion reusable UI components and design systems across apps.
• Mentor engineers and grow front-end capabilities.
• Evaluate new front-end technologies and improve productivity and UX.
