GovCIO is seeking a React Software Engineer to rebuild customer-facing apps from the ground up, migrating from a legacy Spring Boot/Thymeleaf stack to a modern, scalable front-end platform. You will define architecture, standards, and practices, collaborating across architects, backend, DevOps, security, and product teams.

You will lead modernization efforts, establish reusable UI components, and mentor the team while delivering secure, maintainable web experiences in a fully remote U.S.

Formación

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years building production applications with React.
• Deep expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of modern front-end architecture and design patterns.
• Experience with state management solutions such as Redux, Zustand, or React Query/TanStack Query.
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services.
• Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility (WCAG), and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience with automated testing using Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud-native deployments and containerized applications.
• Strong understanding of secure software development practices and DevSecOps principles.
• Experience working in Agile product teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design and development of modern customer-facing web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Help define the future front-end architecture, including component libraries, state management, routing, authentication, and API integration patterns.
• Modernize legacy applications by migrating to a decoupled front-end architecture.
• Collaborate with backend teams to build REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Establish engineering standards for code quality, testing, accessibility, performance, and security.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for front-end applications in a DevSecOps environment.
• Integrate automated testing, static analysis, dependency scanning, and security validation.
• Champion reusable UI components, shared design systems, and consistent engineering practices.
• Mentor engineers and grow modern front-end development capabilities.
• Evaluate emerging front-end technologies and recommend improvements.
