Job summary

NTU International A/S seeks a Senior Non-Key Expert – Railways Specialist to support technical, policy, institutional and investment-related assignments in the railway sector across global projects. The role focuses on feasibility studies, design reviews, and implementation support for railway infrastructure and systems.

You will contribute to environmental and social considerations, interoperability, and adherence to European and international standards, collaborating with public authorities

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in railway/civil/transport engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of railway infrastructure, interoperability, safety, and international good practices.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prepare and implement railway projects and infrastructure.
• Conduct feasibility studies, technical assessments, project design reviews and investment analyses.
• Support railway planning, corridor development, operations planning and multimodal integration.
• Advise on rail infrastructure, signalling, interoperability, traffic management and safety systems.
• Support procurement, tendering, implementation supervision and maintenance planning.
• Promote sustainable, low-carbon, climate-resilient railway infrastructure and services.
• Apply European and international railway standards and good practices.
• Advise on interoperability, including EU standards and systems such as ERTMS.
• Contribute to environmental and social assessments, climate resilience and sustainability considerations.
• Support policy, regulatory and institutional reforms in the railway sector.
• Provide capacity building and technical assistance to public authorities and operators.
