TriMet in Oregon seeks an Assistant Manager, Rail Maintenance of Way (OCS) to supervise staff and contractors responsible for inspection, maintenance, repair and modification of the light rail MOW plant and equipment. The role requires coordinating with project teams and ensuring safe operations.

The position is in-person five days per week, Grade 16, Exempt, Non-Union, Full-Time, with salary range from $104,587 to $156,881 depending on education and experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/G.E.D. required.
• Bachelor's Degree in industrial mechanics, electrical, engineering or related field preferred.
• Four years total credited experience.
• Three years as a technician/mechanic in MOW discipline (track, electrification, signals, or rail facilities).
• One year lead experience in MOW discipline.
• Possession of Class C license (OR/WA); pass driving record check.

Responsabilités

• Supervise work assignments of Rail Maintenance of Way employees and allocate staff/materials to assure rail service.
• Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs and monitor activities.
• Maintain union relations; administer progressive discipline per HR methods.
• Prepare and implement work schedules, programs and reports.
• Coordinate MOW with construction projects affecting right-of-way and train operations.
• Identify improvements and drive productivity enhancements across teams.
