Job summary

PMCS Group, Inc. seeks a Resident Engineer for a Seattle, WA project. You will oversee field site activities, review plans, and coordinate with engineers, inspectors, and operations to ensure construction aligns with contract documents and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Exercise engineering judgment to resolve field construction issues and document changes.
  • Oversee field site activities and advise on construction and design deviations.
  • Read and interpret plans and specifications; review submittals and shop drawings.
  • Direct and review work of engineers, inspectors, and staff.
  • Monitor safety plans for all employees and contractors.
  • Prepare progress reports and owner communications.
  • Coordinate daily with operations, maintenance, facilities, and safety teams.
  • Develop a client communication plan with schedules and cost reports.
  • Apply rail construction experience including track and power systems.
  • Assist with training contractual requirements and readiness needs.
