UNC Health Nash, an affiliated member of the UNC Health system, invites passionate radiologic professionals to join our team. The Radiologic Technologist II operates radiology equipment under the clinical direction of a Radiologist, ensuring film quality, patient safety, and staff education.

The role includes performing routine and specialized radiographs, maintaining equipment, and contributing to QA/QI activities. Onsite, full-time with a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school or program of Radiologic Technology.
• Current registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Current BCLS certification.
• 2 years of Healthcare/Medical - Radiology (Imaging and Therapy) experience.

Responsibilities

• Produces routine and specialized radiographs and other studies under radiologist direction.
• Adheres to radiation safety and patient protection guidelines.
• Provides emotional support and information to patients.
• Demonstrates appropriate care according to patient age.
• Coordinates with physicians and nursing staff.
• Operates and maintains radiologic equipment and related systems.
• Documents to the patient record.
• Educates staff and students on radiologic procedures.
• Participates in quality control and quality improvement activities.
• Performs clerical and auxiliary tasks to support operations.
