Job summary

Peraton is seeking a NEXCOM Senior Systems Design Engineer in Dallas, TX to lead MBSE-driven systems engineering for large-scale radio network deployments across FAA facilities. You will drive site surveys, configurations, racks, and cable routings while developing installation packages and MBSE-based documentation.

The role requires strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and experience with site engineering for radio equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience with MBSE and system modeling processes.
• Ability to perform engineering trade studies.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical reviews.
• Experience in large federal/aviation programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct large-scale radio network planning including site surveys and configurations.
• Create site installation packages (drawings, BOM, steps, schematics).
• Develop system design packages for site prep, procurement, and installation.
• Support site engineering packages for radio equipment installations.
• Perform requirements definition and system decomposition.
• Utilize MBSE to model and document designs.
• Conduct trade-off analyses for design optimization.
• Provide technical leadership to project teams and junior engineers.
• Lead engineering discussions and design reviews with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with field engineering, deployment teams, and leadership for alignment.
