About the Role:

Wing is looking for a Senior RF Hardware Engineerto join our Hardware Engineering Team team based in Palo Alto. The ideal candidate has a passion for elegant hardware, demonstrated knowledge of industry best practices, and the ability to deliver results as part of a dynamic, cross-functional team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Define architecture, specification, design and test boards for innovative unmanned aviation applications.Design and optimize best in class RF system solutions including cellular technologies (LTE, UMTS), WLAN, BT, ADS-B, and GPS.
  • Design for volume manufacturing and support factory engineers from prototyping to product launch. Be responsible for PCB design and antenna placement for optimal RF performance.
  • Collaborate with other engineers in design verification, troubleshooting, failure analysis, and optimization to measure and reduce EMI/EMC and RF desense.
  • Collaborate with policy and regulatory stakeholders to ensure product compliance and certification

What You’ll Need:

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering specializing in RF or electromagnetics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of experience designing RF solutions for consumer or aerospace electronics
  • Experience with board design, board bring-up, desense mitigation, experience with factory processes and manufacturing
  • Experience using common RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, protocol and signaling testers) and/or antenna chambers. The ability to use the test equipment in a hands-on lab environment.
  • Strong RF design experience, board-level and firmware debug skills, and familiarity with schematic creation and PCB design.
  • Hands on experience and knowledge of RF design in aerospace products.
  • Familiarity with simulation tools and/or circuit simulation capability such as ADS, scripting and automation tools for data collection/analysis.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements (FCC, IC, CE, etc.), carrier specifications, 3GPP, 3GPP2, and their respective certification process.
  • Knowledge of different wireless communication systems such as UMTS/LTE, 802.11, Bluetooth, GPS, etc.
  • Strong technical communication/presentation skills and attention to detail.

The US base salary for this full-time position is the salary below + bonus + equity + benefits. Your recruiter will share more about the specific salary details during the hiring process.
