Job summary

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in the United States is seeking a Senior Radiation Therapist to perform complex radiation therapy duties with a high degree of independence. You will deliver planned courses of treatment, verify records, and uphold radiation safety standards on a day-to-day basis.

The role requires an Associate's degree and at least three years of Radiation Therapy experience, with preferred qualifications including SBRT/IGRT experience and familiarity with Varian True

Summary:

Performs complex radiation therapy duties characterized by a greater degree of work independence and less common radiation treatments; delivers planned courses of radiation therapy; maintains accurate records; verifies records and treatments; applies principles of radiation protection; regulates radioactive material; provides special procedures; provides physics support.

Compensation:

The starting hourly rate for this position is $44.28, which comprise of base hourly rate of $36.36 per hour and geographical differential of $7.92 per hour. We offer a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

License Requirement

• License to practice as a radiation therapist in the State of New York.

Education and Experience

• Associate's degree and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in the practice of Radiation Therapy.

NOTE:

Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy
• Special procedure experience such as SBRT, and IGRT
• 7 years or more of work experience in this field
• Experience with Varian True Beam, Mosaiq and GE CT scanner
• Leadership skills such as excellent teamwork, communication skills and a patient focused
• Experience in a Roswell Park PC network
