Job summary

Draper is seeking a Senior Radiation Analysis Engineer to support cross-disciplinary teams in Cambridge, MA or Clearfield, UT. The role focuses on radiation effects on materials and electronics and translating these effects into practical system design implications.

Applicants should have hands-on radiation engineering experience, be able to mentor junior engineers, and contribute to published reports and presentations. On-site work is required at least 60% time.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or related field.
• Master’s or PhD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering decisions based on radiation effects on system performance.
• Design hardening and verify performance across radiation effects (dose rate, TID, NDD, SEE).
• Lead and mentor junior engineers; communicate progress via reports and presentations.
• Identify program risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Provide design insights based on analysis outcomes across technical challenges.
