Job summary

Draper in Cambridge, MA seeks a Senior Radiation Analysis Engineer to solve complex system challenges driven by radiation. The role requires 60% on-site work in Cambridge, MA or Clearfield, UT and collaboration across engineering teams.

You will mentor junior engineers, design and verify radiation hardening, and communicate results through reports and presentations.

This is a highly interdisciplinary role that advances national security systems and requires strong problem solving and leadership.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or related field.
• Master's or PhD preferred.
• Requires 5-7 years Radiation Engineering or related experience.
• Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (In scope Secret).

Responsibilities

• Support radiation effects on overall system performance.
• Design harden and verify systems for dose rate, TID, NDD, SEE.
• Lead small teams and mentor engineers across the program.
• Identify and mitigate program/system‑level risks.
• Communicate progress and results through reports and presentations.
