Job summary

HRL Laboratories, LLC in California is seeking a Ph.D.-level radar systems software engineer to develop software and architectures for radar systems from HF to 200+ GHz, collaborating with scientists and engineers to design, integrate and test advanced systems.

The role requires five+ years in software development, embedded systems, and Agile practice, with expertise in MATLAB, C/C++, Python, Bash, and Perl; U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree in a relevant field and radar systems engineering experience.
• Strong radar software and algorithm expertise with at least five years of software development experience, including embedded systems and prototyping.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, C/C++, Python, Bash, and Perl; experience with source control; U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop software and architectures for radar systems.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to design, integrate and test systems operating from HF to 200+ GHz.
• Contribute to invention disclosures, technical publications, customer briefings, proposals, and marketing HRL expertise.
