Job summary

V2X, Inc. seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to support COBRA DANE radar systems on Shemya Island, Alaska, with a demanding deployment rotation. The role emphasizes deep radar knowledge, troubleshooting, and on-site operations under a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities include developing specs, solving system issues, and interpreting manuals and drawings to keep radar platforms mission-ready in a remote, challenging environment.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of system drawings/schematics, electrical circuits, and troubleshooting down to component level methodologies.
• Ability to interact with Radar Diagnostic Software to operate, evaluate, diagnose and troubleshoot radar system errors.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Active security clearance (Secret) is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to support radar system and subsystem operations, troubleshooting, and return to service.
• Address sparing and obsolescence issues across radar components.
• Prepare installation, operation, and maintenance specifications and instructions.
• Analyze engineering proposals to determine viability of modifications or installation of new equipment.
• Interpret manufacturer manuals, USAF Technical Orders, and system drawings to solve radar problems.
