Job summary

STR's Systems Development Division seeks a Principal Radar Systems Engineer to lead the architecting, design, and implementation of radar systems. You will work with researchers and engineers on multi-disciplinary teams to meet challenging customer requirements and deliver cutting-edge radar and EW solutions.

Required is 10+ years in radar systems engineering, expertise in MATLAB, C/C++, and SysML/Cameo, plus the ability to obtain security clearances.

Qualifications

Expert understanding of radar systems design, development, verification and operations support.
Proficiency in radar waveform generation and signal processing.

Responsibilities

Research and lead new RF sensing implementations for advanced radar solutions.
Decompose customer needs and develop system concepts and solutions.
Create, evaluate, and document system models and communicate results to stakeholders.
Design, direct, and implement cutting-edge technology in multi-function radar systems.
Conduct performance analysis via simulations and real-world testing to optimize radar performance.
Ensure rigorous processes to meet customer needs and requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, specifications and architectures for radar products.
Develop and specify simulation tools to validate radar software and hardware components.
