Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks a Staff Software Signal Processing Engineer to lead radar DSP software development for a Colorado Springs program. You will guide architecture, implement high‑performance DSP pipelines, and work hands‑on with code and problem solving.

You will mentor team members, collaborate across systems and hardware, and drive scalable signal processing workflows while applying CUDA and AI tooling to accelerate tasks.

Qualifications

  • Active U.S. Government Secret clearance required.
  • Proficiency in C++, Java, Python and CUDA applications.
  • Experience with Linux development environments.
  • Experience with RF signal processing and radar DSP concepts.
  • Experience with GPU optimization for real‑time processing.
  • Experience using NVIDIA MatX or similar libraries.
  • Experience leveraging AI tooling for software development workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical leader for radar DSP software, guiding architecture and performance optimization.
  • Design, develop, test, and debug high‑performance radar DSP software and systems.
  • Lead multidisciplinary research with systems, hardware, and equipment designers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine mission needs and document operating instructions.
  • Guide design and development of compilers and infrastructure for scalable workflows.
  • Mentor engineers with code reviews and design reviews on best practices.
  • Develop and optimize radar DSP algorithms and pipelines.
  • Leverage AI tooling to accelerate development while maintaining accountability.
