Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks an experienced leader to own airborne radar systems architecture and mode development across platforms. You will drive end‑to‑end design, from concept to field deployment, with a strong emphasis on real‑time processing and mission alignment.

You will collaborate with government customers and cross‑functional teams to define architectures, while mentoring engineers in radar theory and software practices. Costa Mesa location, Secret clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in airborne radar or related field; technical leadership role.
• Staff/Principal‑level leadership in airborne radar systems.
• Deep expertise in airborne radar systems engineering, mode development, and software architecture.
• Strong background in DSP, electronic protection techniques, and algorithm development.
• End‑to‑end radar systems experience spanning hardware, software, and deployment.
• Experience translating mission needs into technical requirements from operational customers.
• Operational experience in real‑world environments; not purely academic.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead systems architecture and mode development for airborne radar across platforms.
• Develop radar processing algorithms focusing on DSP, waveform design, and protection techniques.
• Drive end‑to‑end radar system design from concept to deployment with operational focus.
• Design and refine RF sensing modes and algorithms including SAR, ISAR, GMTI, and A/A tracking.
• Perform system‑level analysis and requirements decomposition for radar subsystems.
• Provide technical leadership in software development for radar mode implementation and real‑time processing.
• Engage with government customers to translate mission requirements into solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define architectures and concepts of operations.
• Create, communicate, and align internal roadmaps for airborne radar capabilities.
• Mentor team members in radar theory, systems engineering, and best practices.
• Support programmatic decisions with technical expertise.
