Job summary

CoolSys is seeking a Service Technician to repair and overhaul refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment for a variety of customers. You will diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently on-site in Barstow, CA.

Applicants must hold EPA certification and have at least 3 years of commercial refrigeration experience, with the ability to lift up to 60 lbs. Real ID is required for access to secured facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• EPA certification required.
• 3+ years of commercial refrigeration experience.
• Experience with display cases and walk-in boxes is a plus.
• REAL ID required for access to government/secured facilities.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs and sit/stand for long periods.
• Emergency on-call availability is a basic requirement.

Responsibilities

• Assist in repair and overhaul of refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment.
• Provide service by repairing compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and control devices.
• Perform general repair work on refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
• Test malfunctioning systems and document work history.
• Process job tickets and support other departments as needed.
• Assist with pickup, delivery, and installation of cases.
• Perform minor construction/installation startups as required.
