Job summary

CoolSys is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our HVAC and refrigeration team in Los Angeles. You will repair and overhaul equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and support installation efforts on commercial systems across diverse settings.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in commercial refrigeration, EPA certification, and a valid REAL ID. On-call availability and the ability to lift up to 60 lbs are required. Relocation and sign-on incentives may apply.

Qualifications

• EPA certification required.
• 3+ years of commercial refrigeration experience.
• Experience with refrigeration equipment in supermarkets or convenience stores is a plus.
• Familiarity with single and rack systems; experience with display cases and walk-in boxes is helpful.
• Emergency on-call availability is required.
• Must have a valid REAL ID for access to certain facilities.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs and sit/stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist in repair and overhaul of refrigeration, HVAC, and related equipment.
• Repair and overhauling of compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and control devices.
• Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
• Test malfunctioning systems and maintain records of work history.
• Process job tickets and work orders; provide equipment pickup/delivery/installation support.
• Participate in minor construction or startup of new installations.
• Operate company vehicle safely and professionally.
