Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation is seeking a Principal Rack Scale Systems Infrastructure Engineer in the United States. You will define architecture for rack-scale infrastructure, bridging hardware and software teams, and steering complex control planes and orchestration systems.

You will mature firmware lifecycle, OS images, and networking fabrics while collaborating with hyperscalers and enterprise customers. Strong leadership and open-source experience are required.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Engineering, CS, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years of experience in systems architecture, system software, distributed systems, or infrastructure engineering.
• Proficient in Go, C++, or Rust with production-grade software experience.
• Experience with Kubernetes or similar orchestration systems and Linux infrastructure software.
• Strong understanding of data center networking and high-performance compute systems.
• Experience with BMCs, Redfish, IPMI, and secure boot, attestation, and access control.
• Experience shipping open source software with API stability and modular design.
• Familiar with AI-assisted development tools as engineering multipliers.

Responsibilities

• Define software architecture for rack-scale infrastructure products and services across control plane, firmware, OS, drivers, and networking.
• Use Kubernetes and cloud-native primitives as an infrastructure fabric where appropriate.
• Coordinate hardware and software teams across firmware, BIOS, OS images, drivers, and manageability interfaces.
• Collaborate with hyperscalers, CSPs, and enterprise customers to align capabilities with deployment needs.
• Mentor senior engineers and technical leads to raise engineering standards for large-scale systems.
• Make high-quality technical decisions balancing customer needs, hardware realities, and maintainability.
