Watson Refrigeration seeks a highly skilled Commercial Rack Refrigeration Service Technician to diagnose, service, and repair supermarket rack systems. This is not entry-level; candidates must work independently and troubleshoot complex problems in the field.

The right technician will be paid top-of-the-market hourly compensation based on experience, certifications, and value brought to the team, with Raleigh-area relocation considered within reasonable commuting distance.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience servicing supermarket or large commercial refrigeration rack systems.
• Ability to independently diagnose complex rack, electrical, control, mechanical, and refrigerant-circuit problems.
• EPA Universal Certification.
• Strong knowledge of commercial refrigeration principles.
• Read electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Independently diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration rack systems.
• Respond to supermarket refrigeration emergencies and identify source of failures.
• Troubleshoot racks, compressors, condensers, evaporators, valves, piping, and electrical components.
• Diagnose suction, discharge, oil-management, defrost, temperature-control, airflow, and system-capacity issues.
• Explain findings and repair recommendations to customers and management.
• Accurately complete service documentation and maintain tools, vehicle, equipment, and inventory.
