Job summary

Broadcom's Core Infrastructure team in Plano, Texas is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to data operations products used by major financial institutions. You will join a scrum team and design, implement, and review software focused on mainframe environments including VSE, z/VM, and z/OS, with strong assembler skills.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in software development, a BS in CS, and experience with VSE subsystems, POWER and CICS.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software development.
• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
• Experience as a developer in VSE, z/VM or z/OS platforms.
• Strong assembler skills and knowledge of VSE subsystems, POWER and CICS.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop innovative software solutions for Broadcom's mainframe platforms.
• Work in an agile scrum team to design, code, and review software.
• Develop automated test scripts and participate in test plan reviews.
