Job summary

Broadcom Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer for the Mainframe IDMS team to design, develop, and test high-quality mainframe applications using Agile practices.

You will work within an Agile team to analyze requirements, write code, and participate in reviews. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years of mainframe software development, strong IBM Assembler on z/OS, and experience with Endevor and GitHub.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent in software field; 5+ years mainframe software development or 3+ years with Master’s.
• Heavy experience with IBM Assembler on z/OS.
• Experience with Endevor and GitHub SCM tools.
• Experience in Agile software development.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Open to learning new technologies and languages.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within an Agile team to translate requirements into high-quality, testable code.
• Participate in design and code reviews with other engineers.
• Engage in iteration planning, refinement, and sprint reviews.
• Deliver stories and tasks within sprints.
• Communicate and collaborate across teams and with customers for feedback.
