L&L Products is seeking a Research Manager in the United States to lead a diverse R&D team focused on new product offerings and process innovations. You will guide technical programs, collaborate across functions, and drive strategic goals in materials science and engineering.

The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and the ability to navigate uncertain technical challenges while maintaining safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in the sciences, typically in the chemical and engineering sciences.
• Experience leading technical programs and/or personnel toward advancement of business goals.
• Experience in establishing credibility in the research group and the broader organization.
• Capable of fostering a contributive, collaborative environment across corporate functions.
• Comfortable leading on issues with uncertain circumstances or conflicting viewpoints.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to a group of specialists and technicians to advance new product offerings and process methodologies.
• Lead the R&D organization in problem resolution using principled framing and solving approaches.
• Manage activities of the group in context of broader technical and commercial goals.
• Independently develop innovative ideas in materials and processing technology and lead groups through exploration.
• Coordinate multifunctional activities ensuring alignment with company-wide goals.
• Maintain global connections within company research and development and external communities.
• Lead a group of professionals to develop new technologies in products and processes.
• Make technical decisions based on the directed group's work.
• Oversee construction, maintenance, and safety of laboratory workspace and equipment.
