Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Principal R&D Project Manager for the Navigation Platform based in Boston, MA and Gières, France. You will plan and execute complex, cross-functional projects within a regulated medical device environment, coordinating software, systems, V&V, clinical, quality, and regulatory teams to ensure on-time delivery and compliant design controls.

You will drive phase-gate readiness, manage budgets and RAID, and lead governance discussions with stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, life sciences, or related field.
5+ years of project management experience in regulated class II and product development environments (medical device, robotics, navigation, or software-enabled products).
Experience with phase-gate execution and design controls in a QMS environment; strong understanding of regulated medical device development.
Strong ability to manage cross-functional programs across software, systems, and hardware with IMS/WBS planning and budgeting.

Responsibilities

Own project planning baseline, WBS, and integrated master schedule aligned to platform program plan.
Track schedule, milestones, and weekly status to leadership; manage critical path and recovery actions.
Own budget baseline, track actuals/forecasts, and perform EVM; support program reviews.
Maintain RAID log with proactive mitigation; escalate cross-project risks as needed.
Lead weekly core team meetings; ensure action tracking and follow-through.
