A leading healthcare and medical technology organization is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its Research & Development organization. This position is responsible for leading the execution of complex programs and projects, including initiatives involving multiple workstreams and cross-functional teams.
The Senior Project Manager will operate within established budget, schedule, and scope parameters while managing risk and ensuring adherence to defined processes and methodologies. The role requires close collaboration with project partners and stakeholders across multiple locations and functions.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional team members through the successful development of products aligned with the organization's strategic objectives.
- Maintain accountability for overall program execution and provide regular updates to senior management and program leadership.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and lead cross-functional teams through established phase-review processes.
- Track and resolve action items resulting from phase reviews and other project governance activities.
- Ensure products are launched on schedule and meet established business, financial, competitive, and performance objectives.
- Coordinate cross-functional resources and ensure accountability for completion of key tasks and deliverables.
- Manage and track program budgets, including personnel, prototypes, suppliers, and other project-related expenses, while supporting established return-on-investment objectives.
- Serve as the primary communication link between program teams, senior leadership, and other key stakeholders.
- Coach team members on effective project management practices, process adherence, issue resolution, and established product-development methodologies.
- Support design-control activities, new product development initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Provide input to functional leaders during annual operating planning, strategic planning, and performance-management processes.
- Maintain project status updates within the organization's project portfolio management system.
- Prepare executive reports, program updates, and new product development presentations for leadership and other stakeholders.
Must Haves
- Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of program or project management experience related to product development.
- Demonstrated success leading complex programs and bringing new products to market within the medical device or highly regulated healthcare industry.
- Strong experience leading cross-functional teams and managing product development from concept through launch.
Salary of $130-$150K base + 15% Bonus and Stock Options (relocation available as well)
