Job summary
Owens & Minor is seeking a Senior Engineer for Nonwoven Material Development and Sustaining within the Global Products & Healthcare Services portfolio. You will work with Spunbond and Meltblown materials, assess customer needs, and coordinate manufacturing trials to produce qualifying samples.
You will analyze data, collaborate with Marketing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Product Supply, and mentor junior engineers while driving process improvements and documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science or equivalent
- Strong project management and communication skills
- Advanced understanding of statistical analysis tools
- Experience with nonwovens, Spunbond and Meltblown materials
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (<25%)
Responsibilities
- Lead complex workstreams or major projects independently
- Collaborate with Marketing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Product Supply
- Analyze test data and translate customer requirements into verifiable product specs
- Mentor and guide engineers and technicians; document work per procedures
- Develop schedules with cross-functional teams and obtain buy-in for decisions
