Job summary

BroadBean is seeking an R&D Senior Lab Technician to support engineering by conducting tests to evaluate product designs and validate systems. You will build and instrument prototype components for vehicles, set up test fixtures, and collect data to drive improvements.

The role requires hands-on testing across development stages, troubleshooting of test equipment, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma; associate degree preferred.
• 3 years experience, or 8+ years in related role.
• Experience operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic test equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and procedures.
• Strong data collection, documentation, and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct lab, component, system, and vehicle testing to evaluate designs and compliance.
• Build, install, modify, and instrument prototype components on vehicles for testing.
• Set up and maintain test equipment and fixtures used in development.
• Collect and document test data with accurate records.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support development and validation.
