Malco Products, Inc. seeks an experienced R&D Formulation Chemist to lead innovative product development for the automotive appearance, detailing, and restoration lines.

You will drive concepts from initial research through production scale-up, collaborating with Quality, Sales, Marketing and Operations to exceed customer expectations. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Chemistry or related field and 7+ years of formulation experience, with strong knowledge of stability studies, SDS/GHS

Qualifications

• 7+ years of new product formulation experience in consumer products or automotive detailing.
• Experience with stability studies, efficacy testing, and production scale-up.
• Familiarity with GHS/SDS requirements and chemical safety regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to present to diverse audiences.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; manage multiple projects.
• Manufacturing environment experience; ability to work cross-functionally.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; LIMS experience a plus.

Responsabilités

• Develop and perform formulation requirements including new product research, raw material sourcing, development, and scale-up.
• Collaborate with Quality to develop specifications and test methods; ensure formulations meet internal standards.
• Partner with contract customers to develop new products and oversee successful scale-up.
• Evaluate new raw materials for functionality, regulatory compliance and cost reduction.
• Translate market needs into viable formulation concepts with Sales and Marketing.
• Research materials for compliance with safety regulations; modify formulas as needed.
• Maintain notebooks and communicate project status to stakeholders.
• Support SDS development and maintenance with technical data.
• Provide knowledge of Malco product lines and assist Sales, Marketing, QA, and Operations.
• Participate in Quality Improvement Teams and support continuous improvement.
• Investigate complaints; identify root cause and recommend corrective actions.
